Our history
Klingel Italiana was founded in 1968 in Paderno Dugnano, on the outskirts of Milan.Initially established as an importer of electrical equipment, in 1969 Klingel Italiana also began representing the German company GROTE & HARTMANN from Wuppertal. Founded in the early 1900s, GHW GmbH started as a manufacturer of terminals, connection systems, and tooling for the automotive, home appliance, telecommunications, trade, and industrial sectors.
By investing in R&D and technological innovation, the company transformed within a few years into a multinational corporation with sales and manufacturing sites worldwide.
In 1995, following the outstanding sales success of GHW products and other brands—some of which were represented exclusively for the Italian market—Klingel Italiana became Grote & Hartmann Italiana. These brands included: BIMED, DMC, PCE MERZ, PRESSMASTER, SAVOY TECHNOLOGY, SCHLEMMER, and WALTHER WERKE.In 2004, GHW Grote & Hartmann GmbH was acquired by Lear Corporation.
As a result, Klingel Italiana automatically became an official distributor for Lear Corporation (formerly GHW), supplying terminals, connectors, junction boxes, and wire harness manufacturing machinery, primarily for the automotive, home appliance, telecommunications, general industry, and trade sectors.

Today, our company is an Italian distributor of the LEAR Corporation (formerly GROTE & HARTMANN) brand, as well as WALTHER-WERKE, MERZ, BIMED, and other leading brands for the automotive, home appliance, telecommunications, trade, and industrial sectors.
